Before you plan your visit, you should find out if you need a visa to enter Canada. If you do not need a visa to enter Canada, you will still need to meet some specific requirements. If you do need a visa, find out how to apply or otherwise call us and we will be happy to assist.
If you are currently a temporary resident in Canada with a valid status (that is, a study or work permit), you can apply for a new visitor visa to return to Canada before you leave
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE CANADA-TRAVEL AND WORK IN CANADA
International Experience Canada (IEC) provides young individuals the opportunity to travel and work in Canada. IEC is available in countries that have a bilateral youth mobility arrangement with Canada. Depending on where you are from, you can choose from up to three travel and work experiences:
Working Holiday
Fund your vacation with temporary work in Canada. The work portion of your trip lets you earn money so that you can fund your travels during your stay. It is a great way to afford side trips, other excursions and accommodations while you are in Canada.
Young Professionals
Gain Canadian professional work experience to better compete in a global economy. Widen your career horizons by working on teams from diverse cultural backgrounds, learn new approaches to doing business, experience a different country and learn another language
International Co-op Internship
Acquire valuable overseas work experience related to your field of study. The International Co-op Internship is for students who intend to complete a work placement or internship in Canada to fulfill part of their academic curriculum.
VISIT ON BUSINESS
You are a business visitor if you plan to visit Canada temporarily to:
- look for ways to grow your business,
- invest or
- advance your business relationships.
If you are a business visitor and you need a visa to visit Canada, you must apply for a temporary resident visa, just like any other visitor to Canada. There is no separate application for business visitors.
As a business visitor, you must show that:
- you plan to stay for less than six months,
- you do not plan to enter the Canadian labour market,
- your main place of business, and source of income and profits, is outside Canada,
- you have documents that support your application
EXTEND YOUR STAY IN CANADA AS A VISITOR
If you want to extend your stay in Canada, you must apply to do so. Check your temporary resident status to make sure you apply before the expiry date. This will be on your study or work permit, the stamp in your passport or, if you do not have a stamp in your passport, 6 months from the day you entered Canada. You should apply 30 days before your status expires.
Applying for a visa to Canada can seem very easy thing to do, yet often times applicants are refused. The main reason for that is their lack of preparation and poor evidence submissions. Let us help you with your Visa application.
